DIALOGUE: Kyle Ranson, Oliver Halsman Rosenberg, Chad Pfarr, Don Roller, and Brion Nuda Rosch
Otto Design Group and four x four present new works by Kyle Ranson, Oliver Halsman Rosenberg, Chad Pfarr, Don Roller, and Brion Nuda Rosch in their first joint exhibition, DIALOGUE. The show will run from August 8 - September 27, 2003.
DIALOGUE is an exhibition showcasing the ongoing dialogues between artists, Kyle Ranson, Oliver Halsman Rosenberg, Chad Pfarr, Don Roller, and Brion Nuda Rosch. DIALOGUE explores unique ways of interpreting and defining communication through art and life. Throughout the preparation of this show artists have been trading books and drawings, making zines, painting, sending mail to one another, painting on found objects, taking photographs, and making videos. Otto Design Group and four x four will act as a forum for these artists to further investigate and display their studies in DIALOGUE.
Don Roller's work draws from intangible influences such as the subconscious and memory. He allows the element of the 'unknown' to guide his paintings. Roller states that "it is out of the sifting through fragments of thought and memory that my paintings take shape. This process moves me through emotional landscapes of muted color and reflects my deep yearning for truth." Don has participated in past exhibitions with Otto Design Group and 222 gallery as well as numerous outside projects.
Brion Nuda Rosch was a participant of the 222 gallery and four x four exhibition "X hand." Brion currently resides in San Francisco and has shown at New Langton Arts, 52 Mason, Levi's, Gallerie Swiss Hotel, Sugar, Culture Cache, Virgin 69, 381g Artspace, to name a few. Brion has also exhibited at Apartment 6 Space, 8thday Warehouse, Icehouse, and Stinkweeds in Phoenix as well as the Harry Wood Gallery in Tempe.
Chad Pfar has participated in exhibitions including "Subspecies" at Upperplayground, "10 Degrees" at Steven Seize, "Decked Out" at Culture Cache, "Easyriders" and "Boardshow" at Levi's, and "Temporary Space" at 52 Mason in San Francisco.
