FEATHER NECKLACE

Born in 1972, Los Angeles based artist Megan Whitmarsh uses the visual noise of her youth to inform work made in response to pop culture. She is known primarily for her idiosyncratic hand embroidery. Her work synthesizes optimistic futurism with the detritus of modern life. She received her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and an MFA from University of New Orleans.
